Train Like an Olympian at Ocaquatics Swim School

Camila Julien - Regional Manager of Ocaquatics • June 29, 2024

Ocaquatics believes that every child can become an excellent swimmer. With the Olympic Games upon us, our swim school aims to highlight the discipline and dedication of Olympic athletes, qualities that we also strive to instill in children learning to swim with us. Here’s how we bring the spirit of Olympic excellence to our swimmers:

* Consistency is Key

One of the most important lessons we learn from Olympic athletes is the value of consistency. Athletes train regularly to build and maintain their skills. We recommend swimmers attend lessons at least twice a week. Regular lessons help children develop muscle memory, improve techniques, and gain confidence in the water. Consistent lessons are crucial for progress and high performance.

* Positive Attitude

A positive attitude is another hallmark of successful athletes. Ocaquatics fosters a supportive and encouraging environment where children feel motivated to do their best. We teach our swimmers to celebrate all of their accomplishments - large or small, viewing challenges as opportunities for growth.

* Expert Guidance

Our team of experienced and certified professionals are passionate about teaching swimming. They are dedicated to providing personalized instruction to each child. With their help, children learn proper techniques, water safety, and develop a love for swimming that will benefit them throughout their lives.

* Building Strong Fundamentals

Olympic athletes excel because they have mastered the basics. Ocaquatics classes are designed to teach essential water safety skills such as breath control, independent breathing by rolling over on the back, and stroke development. These core elements ensure that our swimmers have a strong foundation.

* Fun and Engaging Environment

We believe that fun is as important as discipline and hard work. Our lessons are structured to be engaging and enjoyable, so that swimmers look forward to their pool time. We incorporate games, challenges, and positive reinforcement to keep our swimmers excited about learning and improving.

This summer, we're incorporating an Olympic theme into our locations. We'll be giving out Olympic ribbons, displaying an Olympic banner, and decorating our facility with flags.
