Our Families' Global Impact

663 million people in the world live without clean water. That’s nearly 1 in 10 people worldwide. The majority live in isolated rural areas and spend hours every day walking to collect water for their family. Not only does walking for water keep children out of school or take up time that parents could be using to earn money, but the water often carries diseases that can make everyone sick. Access to clean water means education, income and health - especially for women and kids. For every swimming lesson that Ocaquatics teaches, we donate one day of water. Each time a child attends their swimming lesson they help to donate a day of water to someone in need.

We are a Force for Good in our Community

Drowning is the Leading Cause of Accidental Death for Children Ages 5 & Under (CDC) and is 100% Preventable. Participation in formal swim lessons reduces risk of drowning by 88%! (NIH)

Ocaquatics partners with Every Child a Swimmer and the HOPE FLOATS Foundation, non-profits that provides scholarships and tuition assistance for swimming lessons to families who would otherwise not be able to afford it.
Ocaquatics also supports Stop Drowning Now, a non-profit that teaches kids how to recognize drowning risks and how to protect themselves and others. Kids learn preventative measures as well as emergency responses.
