Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to obtain any certifications before applying?

No! As part of our training process, we provide paid CPR, WSI (Water Safty Instructor), and Lifeguarding certification courses through the American Red Cross.

What will my schedule be like?

Our busiest days and times are weekday afternoons and weekends.
All of our team members must be able to work at least one weekend day and weekday afternoons. We teach 3 pm to 8 pm Monday through Friday and 8:45 am to 3:15 pm on weekends.
Schedules may vary by location.

I am a college student and my availability may change because of my school schedule each semester. Would I still be able to work?

Yes! We work with many high school and college students and understand that schedules may change per semester depending on school schedules. We will ask for your availability before the start of each semester in order to coordinate your work and school schedule.

I love working with kids, but I don’t know how to swim. Can I still submit an application?

Yes! We have both aquatic and dry positions available and we provide training for all positions. No experience is required.

What is the dress code?

We have a casual dress code but we do maintain professionalism. All should comply with our family-friendly environment. Ripped/distressed jeans and leggings are not part of our attire. Unusually colored or styled hair must be tied up and worn under an Ocaquatics baseball cap. Hair long enough to cover eyes/face must be pulled away from the face. Tattoos must be completely covered and non-stud body piercings should be avoided.
