Ocaquatics Kendall Facility

Welcome to Ocaquatics
Ocaquatics Kendall during our Grand Opening

We are proud of our pool!

Our 30,000-gallon indoor pool at Ocaquatics Swim School in Kendall is equipped with the latest in innovations designed to provide the ultimate in both safety and bather comfort. There is not a safer pool in Miami Dade in which to learn how to swim! Some of its features include:

Drinking Water Quality Filtration: Ocaquatics is equipped with a semi-automatic "Stage One" Drinking Water Grade Filtration System, complete with (permanent) garnet filter media and single lever backwash activation. This same filtration process is EPA-approved for single-pass removal of Giardia and Cryptosporidium in municipal drinking water systems. The technology has been used for years in major pools and water parks alike.

Integrated Interactive Controls: The heart of the entire system is an interactive CES BECSys5 control package that controls every aspect of the pool operation from circulation flow, filtration, oxidation, sanitation, temperature, water level to many others. All functions can be controlled from the BECSys5 screen, or from any software-enabled remote PC via phone line or Ethernet connection. All critical readings are maintained in an onboard log and any out-of-range condition is automatically reported to management and service personnel via phone, email and fax alert systems. Non-Chlorine UV Treatment System: A major focus in pool safety today is protection against the spread of Giardia and Cryptosporidium. Ocaquatics is equipped with a DOH-approved UV system that provides 100% inactivation against the spread of water-borne diseases in the pool return line. No other system can make that claim.

Energy Saving Features: The Ocaquatics pool is equipped with a wide variety of state-of-the-art features including a heat exchanger dehumidification system that removes all moisture from the building, heats the pool, and even cools the pool when necessary. It also includes motion sensor lights throughout the building, a T-Star insulated pool cover system that reduces heating costs by 66%, a CES variable frequency drive (VFD) that reduces pump energy by 20% daily (with a night-time feature saving up to 90% pump energy) while still heating and treating the pool water to the highest DOH code standards.

All-In-One-Treatment System: Ocaquatics utilizes a special All-In-One chemical treatment package that provides the chlorine, calcium, bicarbonate, and stain / corrosion inhibitor required for the "ultimate" in water quality control. As such, it replaces five separate chemicals while requiring 1/10 of muriatic acid (the sixth chemical). Fewer chemicals results in less caustic water and a more pleasing experience for patrons and instructors.
